Hi Anne: Hope all is well by you. I had that problem big time ! Tears would just keep rolling down my face. I had a pyrex tube, I think it's called a Jone's tube, put into the inner corner of my eye & it drains the tears into my sinus. It works pretty well, but sometimes it gets backed up if there is too much tears. When you breathe in a little hard through your nose it drains faster.
This was surgery under anesthesia b/c the surgeon had to make an incision on the side of my nose & cut through bone. He's an oculoplastic surgeon so the scar is minimal. There is also a tiny indent in that area, but I'm glad I had it done.
The tube has to be changed every 6 months - to me it's worth it. I know there are other options but I can't think of them right now... I also had a canthal sling procedure at the same time that lifter the lower lid - the surgeon attached the lift to the bone just under my eyebrow. It's held up longer than the other procedures I had to keep the lower lid lifted.
Always good thoughts, Nancy

Anne, I used to have that a lot and my solution was to tilt my head to the side and let a couple of big crocodile tears drip out. Grossed my daughter out. Now it does not happen often, usually only when I let my eye get too dry.
