Title: Post op day one
Post by: neuroma_racer on April 10, 2010, 03:30:59 pm
Feeling good
Slept well last night with an ambient, despite hourly visits for vitals signs, lumbar csf draining, and blood sugar checks, and a free medicine doses.
Took a flexural last night and this am because my neck and back felt SO staved-up from laying in bed so long.
Felt better, and the flexural helped me get a good nap today.
Walking o.k.. Holding wides hand and rolling I.l. Pole, - feel just a little off balance, not a vertigo though.

Bladder catheter, and csf drain removed today, so i am moving even better.
Head dressing off tomorrow.

I can't say how ecstatic i am for th results, findings and outcomes.

Maybe home mnoday or tuesday at the latest.
Aces,
Jesse

Jesse ~

Congratulations!!  You seem to be doing quite well.  The ICU is sometimes annoying but you'll be out of there soon.  Pace yourself - don't try to set recovery records - and thanks for the updates from your hospital bed.  Now, that's dedication!  :)

Sounds like you're doing just great, Jesse.  Keep up the good work  ;D

Having the bandage removed will make you feel better.  As I recall, that thing's pretty darn tight  :(

I'm amazed you're able to type on the computer! It took me two weeks to get there and even then it was hard!
Keep up the good work!

You sound great for just having brain surgery. :o
We'll talk baby steps when you get home. You don't want to over do it. :)
