Honestly.. I am not sure what is happening here.. but,, ::)
I had my hair cut 2 months ago and I was not pleased that the hairdresser cut it longer on one side than the other. It totally was longer on one side than the other. I didn't notice this till later when the next cut was due.
Well, I had my hair cut again and went to someone new and explained about the last cut. She pretty much cut it on the one side only and fixed it all. WHAMO! One month has passed and my hair is again longer on the one side than the other.. AND to boot, it has not grown on the short side. Whats up with this?
It happens to be the same side as my tumour which has displaced my two carotid arteries and jugular vien. Is this coincidence?
Could it have to do with lack of blood flow to the one side... very far fetched I know... but I have no other explanation. I have no idea how hair grows or what feeds it. All I know is.. I'm gonna ask for 1/2 off on my next cut! :P

WOW, that is interesting. I know that many times the hair near the post-op surgery scar is slow to grow back in, but I've never heard of hair on one side not growing at all, as you describe.
The hair on the top and front of my head grows much faster than the sides or the back, but all of it grows ..... very fast!
Sure will be interested in other experiences, as well.

Sorry, I'm no help but I got a good giggle out of your last comment.
I don't think it is so far fetched to think it might be related to the blood flow. I'm not sure, but it sounds plausible enough!

Sorry about your hair not growing on the AN side, I have never heard of this.
I had a great laugh at your comment on future haircuts. Having a good sense of humor helps you and others as well. Thanks for sharing.

Wow this is an interesting issue. I don't think I have a problem with my hair growing, but I do always think its longer on one side than the other because I developed a head tilt after surgery and it gives the illusion that one side is shorter.
I'll have to pay attention to how its growing.
