Yes, folks, it's about time that we got together again for brunch and fun! Wendy and I have arbitrarily picked Sunday, May 2 at 12 Noon for our next get-together. As usual, we will meet at Brendan's in NYC (42 W. 35th Street - Btwn 5th & 6th) Please spread the word - it would be great to have another good turnout!
So, who is in? :D :D

Wow, sounds like a great time and I would love to fly in, but with a college graduation May 8, confirmation May 9 and middle-school graduation May 16 I don't think I can fit in a trip to New York. So sad. Hope you all have fun.
Sara

Debbi,
My girlfriend Patty is likely to come also. So you can add her to the list.
Wayne

She is added and I am looking forward to meeting you both!
We have several anniversaries to celebrate (mine included, come to think of it - f/up MRI on Apr 27).
Let's get the party hats out! I hear Joe D is bringing the tee-shirts and buying beer for everyone (just checking to see if you are reading this, Joe...)

A.M. - hope you can join us on the 2nd. You may also want to consider attending the ANANJ mini-symposium on April 18 - details here: http://www.ananj.org/Acoustic_Neuroma_Meetings.shtm (http://www.ananj.org/Acoustic_Neuroma_Meetings.shtm) It's at Summit Medical Group in Berkley Hts, NJ.
Look forward to meeting you.

New Jersey has their own Acoustic Neuroma Association. How cool is that?
Clicked on the link and there is lots of informative stuff - for example, the info on the BAHA.
Now, I'm not only jealous that you guys get together for parties, but that you have your very own association.

Debbi and Wendy,
I've just learned that I'm not going to be able to attend on May 2 -- will be in Nashville with my Mother, who's having some health issues.
I'll miss seeing all of you and catching up on everyone's progress, but will look forward to joining you next time (sometime in the Fall?).
Thanks, as always, to Debbi and Wendy for all the organizing. Be sure to take lots of pictures!
I know that a good time will be had by all, and sincerely hope that any newcomers will be encouraged by all the good cheer that this group provides!
Take care,
Catherine (Jersey Girl 2)

Catherine,
Sorry to hear you won't be able to attend our upcoming brunch but hope your mother will be okay. We all understand that things like this come first, but you will be missed.
Wendy

Really sorry you can't make it, Catherine, but maybe we'll see you at the ANANJ event on the 18th?
By the way, I just added Kevin and Carol to the list, so we are at 18.
And, for those of you who are joining us for the first time, wait until you hear how much noise a table full of half-deaf people can make!! ;D ;D

I'm going to be out of town that day, too, and I'm so sorry to be missing both events. I hope there will be a good turnout for the ANA/NJ meeting on April 18 (as well as the May 2 NY/NJ event!) --- the program is a patients' panel discussion on "Coping with the Aftermath of Acoustic Neuroma," and should be very interesting. Berkeley Heights is centrally located in NJ and convenient for residents of eastern PA and New York as well as NJ folks. End of plug for program!

DATE CHANGE!!
Due to some last minute schedule conflicts, we have changed the date of the next NY/NJ area AN brunch to
Sunday, May 16 @ 12 Noon
I have sent emails or PMs to everyone who had already responded, so hope that I've reached everyone. So sorry for this change, but hopefully you will all still be able to make it! I have started a new thread for the date change, but wanted to update this thread as well.
Debbi (and Wendysig)
-
Debbi,
I definitely want to attend and can make it just about any Sunday. So keep me in the loop if there are any date changes. I just stopped in today to make sure everything was still a "go". I'll be in contact here before the 16th! Can't wait to meet everyone
