Lot's of good news to share! My youngest daughter is getting married on Saturday, she is 34 and this is her first marriage. She has waited a long time to find her soul mate and we all approve. I couldn't have hand picked a nicer guy! They will be presenting me with another grand child in July (this from the daughter who doctors have told since she was thirteen that would never be able to conceive a child) Miracles happen everyday!
The first offer on our home fell through. The bank had given preapproval, but the folks couldn't get the loan. :-( Yesterday we got a cash offer, quite a bit over the asking price. We already had three bank appraisals done and the inspection was done a few months ago and the people accepted those documents. (I think they are a little anxious) The kicker to the whole thing was that they wanted to close on February 12! We finally convinced them to move the date to February 26....I explained that I hung up my Wonder Woman cape a while back. They are transferring from out of state. A minister and his lovely wife, who is expecting a new baby. We are excited and anxious all at the same time.
The next news is that my husband landed a contract in Galveston for the replacement of a/c units in eleven buildings which have sixteen condos in each. He will be replacing a minimum of five in each building. By the time he completes the task, the hot season will be with us and business will be booming! We are blessed. Prayers work and even though our credit took a huge nosedive with the loss of my husband's job, our car was totaled by an illegal with no insurance and our insurance company refused to cover under the terrorist clause (didn't know they could do that, check your auto and homeowner's policies) we are going to become known as the "come back kids"...er "come back old people". We are on our way back up!
I also want to thank all of you who have offered prayers and words of encouragement. There were days when I didn't know if I was going to make it through all of this. So thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Hugs,
Brenda

That certainly is a downpour of good news! I'm so happy for you.
I hope your daughter has a perfect wedding day and a very healthy baby.
We all knew you'd make it through the tough times. You may have hung up the cape, but you're still Wonder Woman on the inside!
Now go celebrate all this good news with some chocolate or something!

A new son-in-law and a new grand child coming and your house sold and 55 or more a/c units to do - that's a lot of stuff going on!

Yea! I bet you are EUPHORIC! I am, for you. The excitement in your post is palpable.
I'm sooo happy for you. After reading the downside of things that you endured, you deserve this and more.
Embrace it, wonder woman!

This cascade of good news coming your way is downright exhilarating, more so because it is, I believe, an answer to many prayers. May the wedding be spectacular, the marriage solid, the baby healthy, the home sale transition smooth and your husband's work both lucrative and satisfying as you both look toward a much brighter future! :)
Your experience is why I often use the phrase: "it won't always be this way" when folks run into problems and obstacles in life (and their AN recoveries). Granted, no one will sail through life with nothing but good news every single day and never a setback, but neither will anyone remain in a bad situation indefinitely. 34-year-old daughters find their soul mate and become pregnant when doctors said they wouldn't, homes that sat on the market for months with no takers or credit-challenged potential buyers finally sell with ease for a very good price and work comes when it seemed as if it never would. Nothing stays the same, forever. Enjoy the good things happening to you and your family, now, and thanks for sharing it with a very receptive audience. :)

So the insurance companies are calling uninsured drivers "terrorists" now? What kind of scam will they think of next?
I'm really glad you guys finally caught a break on something for a change! And congrats on the new SIL!! and Grandbaby!

WOW! Very exciting news - and lots of it, too!
Congrats, Brendalu.
And thanks for sharing. Some day we all need a pick me up - and the good news doesn't necessarily need to be ours.

If I said thank you a millions times I don't think I could ever thank each and every one of you enough!! I have been busy putting flowers together and finishing touches on all the stuff today.
The weather is not cooperating here on the Gulf Coast of Texas and I see we have a full moon for tomorrow evening...............sounds like just what the doctor ordered. lol.
Captain Deb....I think everyone needs to get their magnifying glasses out to check out all of the fine print on anything insurance related. These are some strange times we are experiencing.
Anne Marie...I may have to get my Wonder Woman cape out for the rest of this week and then it is going to be retired for good...and now I can't get that music out of my head!! Maybe I'll hum it instead of the Wedding March........don't think my daughter would appreciate that at all but it might be funny!
I will try to post some pictures....if I can be photo shopped to look like Deborah Carr or Ann Margaret!!
Everyone have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you again
Huggggggssssssssssssssssssssssssss,

Brenda,
So glad you shared all the good news! And I hope the wedding went really well in spite of the weather (which didn't seem to be ideal in a lot of places around the country!)
Congrats on your grandbaby too!
