Title: Too early in the season for the "white stuff"
Post by: ppearl214 on October 16, 2009, 05:30:17 am
Ok, who dun' it? Who blew this our way?  Not even Halloween, my patio furniture is still out, no dust collected on my bbq grille yet... the dog is none too thrilled to walk in this stuff..... and the bloke still has yet to learn how to drive in this stuff.  The picture timestamp IS accurate and I WILL hunt down the culprit!

Ok..... WHO SENT THE SPLENDA OUR WAY?!?!  :o  :o  :o

*eyeballs Yoo-Tee, others dropping halo's and anyone else inbetween*  :o  >:(  ;)  :-*

Oh my goodness, Phyl  :o

I am SO sorry about this.  BTW, my halo has slipped a time or two recently, but I'm not the culprit here.

Hope it melted fast.

We had really, unseasonably COLD weather last weekend, but NO SPLENDA...it is much warmer now but will still be cold out for our 9:00 soccer game in the morning!

Phyl,

You need to get a taller dog - then maybe it wouldn't be so traumatic to walk in the cold snow!   :D

It looks so pretty - as long as I don't have to see it outside MY window!

Being the "Official Breeze Conjurer" of the PBW, I felt it my duty to get this rust bucket going again by making you cold and wishing for blue skies and tasty waves again..  Mission Accomplished.  :)

Love ya, babe!

Regards,
Brian

No offense, Phyl - to you or the dog  ;D

Aren't you glad that out of the three of us, at least Kaybo behaves?

Hi Phyl,

I'm not the one who sent the Splenda but it does look pretty from here!  Sorry about the dog though -- maybe you can get him/her snow boots.  :D  They actually do make them for dogs.   I have to agree though -- it's way too early for this stuff.

Very funny Lori -- I think you halo's slipping again!

so, my Pooter has taken blame, I see halos dropping everywhere (except for the lovely Kaybo, of course! ;) ) and its melted. The dog doesn't look good in doggy booties but did buy her a new sweater with hood today in preparation for future Splenda dumpage.

Oy.... far too early in the season for this!  And now prepping for a Nor'eata' tomorrow.  My hair can't take this! :'(

You know, I've been hearing that a lot.  What's the theory behind it?  Farmer's almanac?

Last year half a dozen people told me that it was supposed to snow a total of 13 feet during the winter. We only got two significant snowfalls and not much else. I always figure what comes comes. But this year I'm driving a Subaru!

Hey Phyl,
Sorry to hear fluffy stuff has hit, If I had my way I would sent some South Pacific Sunshine your way.
Hang in there, it's only a couple of months, well maybe a few more, till spring.

As I said, at this time of year all I promise is South Pacific Sunshine, must be coming form your Northern Boarder.
Could be Donnalynn has started this one.
Keep warm, and if you have to wrap up, it does melt. SO I AM TOLD

I'm going to take Kiwi Don up on his offer!  ;D  I'll take southern hemisphere warmth right now over this....... and Donnalynn, as much as I luffs you, um.... I'll pass on the snow, although I do like the idea of the Beanie in stillettos during snow-covered areas.

Bob, saw the waves down your way on news reports! Have a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Subaru's, snow shovels, warm hats, ugh!!!  Ain't ready for it! Nope, not ready!  :(

I actually have a few ideas behind my (personal) theory....

the last summer has been the COOLEST summer for many years (I don't remember the exact number of years) and if the trend continues thu the winter.....brrr....

several volcano this past year... adding sulfur to the air ... (the anti- greenhouse gases)

sun spots are few in number... there has not been so few sun spots in 100 years.... and global temperatures seem to be lower when this happens... ( however, scientists dont really understand why)

Bob... what do you wear on cold days? I have a dry suit for kayaking in the cold... (waders that are water tight up the neck and wrists , so even if fall in , I stay dry)

wha'? No elaboration on El Nino or El Nina or why scientists don't really understand global temps from the ocean? :D

See ya Sunday, hoping it doesn't snow! :)

the more we learn (the human race) ... the more questions we have and the more we realize we are just sratching the surface...
remember , it was only a few generations ago the world was flat! ... we really have no idea about anything... we only think we do !
