Title: Question
Post by: 28Lisa on August 14, 2009, 04:13:18 pm
My Dr perscribed Refresh Pm for me, I just got mr perscription picked up today and the label says Refresh PM but the box says Tears Renewel ointment.  I called the pharmacy and they are telling me its the same thing.  I do not want to wait till Monday to call my dr.  What should I do??

Should I let this go?  Am I being unreasonable??

P.S. I know that Refresh is a more expensive brand and my insurance covers it so why are the pharmacist trying to pass off a cheaper brand as Refresh Pm? (just pondering that thought)  Oh I took down the pharmacist name :-\

Hi Lisa:  I would take what they gave you back to the pharmacy & let them know you want the trade name product,  not the generic.
There can be different 'inactive' ingredients in the generic brand.
I'm curious though,  I use Refresh PM ointment - many Refresh PM brands are over the counter.  How come you needed a prescription ?
Always good thoughts, Nancy
