satman:
hello everybody,i think i may have asked this before but cant remember.
i have noticed a lot of hair in my hands while shampooing, also more on shower walls.

my question is, being that i was under for 25 1/2 hrs total,in a time frame of 4 months.
currently i'm not taking steroids and not sure if i ever have.could all this
be from the anestesia[spelled wrong i'm sure]
please respond if you can.thanks guys and gals.   john....FREAKING OUT !i need my hair as it covers
up the ugly , ha,ha. now i think that song "funny face i love you"was writtten for me,ha,ha....

hendi51:
John, that is a lot of anesthesia and it will make your hair fall out. I have a friend to had a very serious colon surgery in March and her hair is still coming out. Hope this helps. John, what is a nerve jump surgery?

Boppie:
So much anesthesia in 4 months !  Yes, the hair is impacted by the anesthetic and antibiotics you might have had.  The new hair will start coming back in soon.  As it is just completing the falling cycle you will begin to feel soft stubbles on your scalp.  Best thing to do is cut it often to inspire growth and don't wear a hat much.  Don't let your hair dresser throw stuff at you or you'll clog up the pores with cosmetics.  They won't make hair grow anyway.  My hair dresser believes in deep scalp massage and every time she gets her hands on me I get headaches.  So, for a while before and after my surgery I washed my own hair before I went to get a cut.   8)  ::)

he hendi, the 7/12 nerve jump is where they take your 7th cranial nerve
and hook it up to your 12th [ tongue nerve ] they do this to try and get your
facial movements to come back. only if the nerve was cut during surgery,or damaged really bad
due to the size and location of the tumor.

Patti UT:
satman,
sure hope your hair does come back.  I lost a bunch after surgery,  the docs told me it was "surgical shock" from them literelly peeling back the scalp.  I'm almost 3 yrs post op,  still no sign of regrowth of the hair.
