Title: BAHA in Canada
Post by: Johnny Appleseed on January 01, 2008, 05:38:26 pm
Hello Friends,

Any post-op AN musicians out there who have experience with the BAHA? I'm thinking I might go down this road and am in early stage research. I have found my way through post-op life 'au naturel', thus far. I'm coping with SSD by strategic positioning at dinner and meeting tables and plugging my good ear in ambient and noisy situations. I use a custom made "musicians ear plug" for playing music, which reduces volume by 15db.

I shave my head. Here's another question: Any bald BAHA types out there?

Johnny

Hi Johnny, I use the musician plugs too. Noisy restaurants, even church, set off the tinnitus. I also stayed au naturel. I considered the baha, but just couldn't handle the thought of more drilling, thank you very much.
:-)   You'd be a brave and wiley soul to go baha and bald. Best wishes,
Yvette
