Title: need a neurotologist in michigan
Post by: rbc892 on June 13, 2014, 06:20:31 am
I was diagnosed in March 2014 with a small AN and saw a neurosurgeon in the Detroit area who wants me to watch and wait. I did, however, send my MRI and audiogram to Dr. Friedman at Keck. Dr. Friedman wants me to have another audiogram done NOT by a technician but by a neurotologist. I need some names of neurotologists in Michigan who do very good audiograms and who are versed in the AN procedures. I will research on them, but right now I am at a loss as to who in Michigan I can call on. I live in Oakland County in SE MI.

Hi - there's a woman who posts on the meningioma board who lives in Michigan and has been to many specialists for her type of brain tumor.  I will see if I can get more info for you.

Hi,
Neurotologists rarely do audiograms. The Neurotologist that I once saw didn't do them. His office assistant did them for him.

Michigan University has an excellent AN team. I would recommend them.

I would recommend Dr. Arts or his associates at the University of Michigan.  I am currently seeing Dr. Arts and am on wait and watch.  He doesn't  do the actual testing but works with a team and his team is great.  You can message me is you have any specific questions.

p.s.  I'm sure the previous post was referring to the University of Michigan and not Michigan State University, just for clarification.  My ENT is in Lansing and he said the closest specialist for me to see was either U of M or the Detroit area so he referred me to Dr. Arts at U of M.
