I finally got tired of my daily war with eyeliner and mascara (running as a result of ointment), so I got permanent eyeliner. This may be the best cosmetic thing that I have done. It is still a little tender, but I think I will really like it. I read that 1 out of 100 experienced some tingling during MRI. Also, possible artifacts during MRI. That is my only concern. Has anyone else tried this?

I have wanted to do this for years, even before my AN. Why would it tingle during MRI ? Is there metal in tattoos ? Interesting. I also am tired of the eyeliner struggle, though the GEL type seems to be my best option now.

Hi;
" Is there metal in tattoos ?" Yes, and the more MRIs will equal a fainter tatoo. I read this a couple years ago on a reputable web site.
-
I have 2 tattoos and never noticed a thing when I was getting my MRIs, but then again, they weren't on my eyelid.

I don't know if there is any metal in tattoo, I have had an MRI and there was no problem. I had eyeliner and eyebrows done and I am still delighted. The eyebrows help minimize the unevenness with my facial paralysis. I found a very experienced artist. Although there are minimal risks involved and some may think it is silly, it was much cheaper and effective than any plastic procedure.

What state does the artist live in? I've been wanting to get permanent eyeliner, but have been too afraid. So glad you got great results.
Always good thoughts, Nancy

Nancy,
She lives in Germantown, TN (near Memphis). I am still very happy. She worked very hard to help my eyes appear more symmetrical.
