Hello Jazzfunkanne,
Ouch!
I haven't had any trouble with my eye in the shower because I use swimming googles (clear) and it works fantastic!
I put the strap way down low at the nape of my neck and it is not in the way at all. At the end of my shower I take it off and rinse the back of my hair again, just in case I didn't get all of the shampoo or conditioner out.

JFA~
My eye gets red/pink sometimes when I shower.  I have never used anything but regular shampoo/conditioner...ever...and have never had any problems from that that can not be corrected by a drop (or salve) after I finish.  Besides, baby shampoo is really NOT good for your hair!  Can't we be vain about something??  I count it as a blessing that I cannot feel in that eye if it isn't going to blink right!!   ;D

I have the same problem too. The tiniest amount of water (not even shampoo, just clear water) will make my eye red and very irritated. I find this really strange, as I don't have any facial issues, or trouble closing my eye. I do have dryness in the cornea though - I suspect that normally eyes are protected by a film of tears that is missing when the eye is dry. So, I have tried to use eye drops right before going into the shower and it helps a bit. I also try to hold my eye closed as tightly as possible. I haven't thought of swimming googles, Michelle this is a terrific idea.

I have the same problem and put eye drops in before and after I shower.  I also think it's the dry cornea.  I love the goggles idea but I'm afraid I might really scare my husband.  He has already put up with enough I think.

Think of this: onion goggles, my sunglasses with the moisture chamber, harley goggles on the boat, I shower with swimming goggles, I carry drops to use every half an hour, I lube up my eye, tape it then adhesive patch at night.
I always say to my husband "Aren't I the vision of beauty?" He loves me!

I think you were looking at Marci's picture there. I don't have one posted. But, yes I am struggling with facial weakness.
