Greetings! I have slight ptosis of the lower lid, and at first, my eye doctor/surgeon did not want to perform any reconstructive surgery. I am almost 3 yrs post op, btw. A few weeks ago, he changed his mind. I am going to see him in April and we will probably schedule the surgery. Despite having a gold weight, my eye still does not close properly. Did any of you have this procedure? If so, did your eye function better? Did you eye look wonky?
Any advice, etc., would be greatly appreciated!

I've had several surgeries on the lower lid to keep it lifted. The best one is the canthal sling - my surgeon hooked it to bone & it has lasted the longest.
In fact, he said when it's done right you shouldn't need another surgery for this.
I went to an oculoplastic surgeon - they seem more skilled at providing symmetry to the eyes.
Always good thoughts, Nancy

Thanks, Nancy! I am going to ask about this procedure when I see him in April.

You might try sending a personal message to CROOKEDSMILE. She has had several procedures done. She doesn't check in here regularly any more, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind answering questions about her experiences.
