Wow, that looks pretty amazing. Are you experiencing any pain?
I don't believe that my BAHA site ever looked quite like that. I think a visit to your doctor ASAP would be a great idea.
Hope that everything goes well.

What IS that stuff anyway?
Whatever it is, after it loosens up and falls off you will hopefully see nice pink skin underneath. Just don't pick at it! Unless the wound nurse does......
And no fever, no pain. No cause to worry I guess ???
(Mine didn't look like that either).
Hang tough,

YIKES!!! :o
Sorry, Jo, but I have to agree that this picture does look awful :(
My BAHA site never, ever looked like this. I'm not a medical professional, but I don't like the looks of whatever is stuck to your head. Is that a piece of gauze? And did you get a round, white, plastic cap?

Jo,
My BAHA site never looked like rhis either. However, if you have no pain or sign of infection, it's probably jusy weird looking, Let us know what your doc says.

Well I sent the pic to the ENT and wound nurse in the city and they both said it looks good!!!! Now I need to apply some type of gel twice a day and keep my appt on friday. It will be interesting to see what they say when I show them a pic of someone at 10 days post op and the pic looks 1000X better

So, Jo, I'm very relieved to hear that everything is okay, but I'm still puzzled.
I hope you don't mind me asking, but just what is the rock hard place? It is a piece of petrified gauze?

I'll find out tomorrow as to what it is....I sent the pic to the audiologist and she showed it to the ENT and wound nurse who both agree it looks good...Because I"m a fast healer and have been taking extra protein and vit B & E, that its the site just crusted over...the outside edge crusted over real hard as well...So I"m hoping its that....25 hours to find out

I've looked at the pics when the healing cap was on and at the one above...the one above makes the site look huge...it isnt....i'll try and get a decent pic tomorrow at the ENT office and post it

Might as well keep on going with the Cdn comments!
Can't say the picture is looking fab but if the doctors and nurses are OK, then just go with the flow. Hopefully, you can post a different perspective, along with a firm update from the ENT.
Small steps.
Good luck tomorrow.
