So for the next three days I will try to relax, finish my gardens (hope someone waters them). I know this is the right decision, just have to do it. We have to be in Boston at 6 am for a 730 start, that will be a sleepless night but at least I get to sleep all day, my poor husband will be exhausted. I will try to post as soon as I get back. Have a great long holiday weekend everyone.

Yes, do relax and enjoy the long weekend. Before you know it, the surgery will be over and you will have joined us on the other side. The time goes so quickly. I can't believe that my surgery was 6 months ago. I did not think I would sleep any the night before, especially since I was in a hotel. But to my surprise, I did sleep and I was also calm as I was wheeled into the operating room. I think all the prayers people were doing for me and doing a ton of research to prepare for the surgery is what really helped. I will be thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. Good luck to you. Sandy

Just wanted to say good luck Rivergirl. My husband had AN surgery March 15th and he is doing wonderful. He only was in the hospital 3 days. He did have a little double vision in opposite eye from AN surgery and had a sweet taste in his mouth. He didn't care for sweet eggs! Most of that has disappeared and he is back to his old self. I hope you have as easy time of it as he did.

This will be over before you know it and I'm confident you'll have a good outcome. Post when you can and don't fret about that. We'll all be here for you when you're up to communicating. Meanwhile, know that many thoughts and prayers are going out for you, including mine. :)

All the best, Rivergirl.

Many thoughts and prayers. A key secret is to be as calm as possible the morning of surgery. It really helps the post-op.
