Title: middle fossa haircut???
Post by: neuroma_racer on March 29, 2010, 08:44:57 am
so i am due for middle fossa surgery 4/08

any rec's for pre-op haircuts?

marine corps 'high and tight'?
cue-ball it?
leave it shaggy and let them deal with it?

i guess i'd prefer things to be symmetrical, rather than shaggy on one side, and shaved on the other.

thanks,
jesse

I went just short of cue-balling it when I had my surgery a few weeks ago, clippers with a #1 guard all the way around, they cut it just a little bit shorter on the surgery side but not enough to make a difference after a few days of growth.. now you can't even tell. I would say go with the least amount of hair that you are comfortable with, will make it that much easier to grow it back nice and even... plus not being able to wash your hair for a while doesn't matter as much when you don't have much hair to wash.

thought i might do a REAL mohawk, monday night, (next week, pre-op day #3) after work,
just for some pics,
then full CUEBALL shave afterward

this would give me a few days for any nicks or razor burn to heal up.

Guess if you're a guy then I'd buzz it. I'm not, and I left mine long, which pretty much covered the shaved part.
