The NJ chapter newsletter for Sept 2007 has Part 1 of an article on "Acoustic Neuroma & Memory Problems." Go to www.ananj.org and click on Newsletters.  Part 2 of the article will appear in the April 2008 issue. Comments  for a possible Part 3 of the article would be greatly appreciated. Just send email to d*** Barker at rbarker465@aol.com. Thanks.

I have read the artical it was great information, however it talks about post surgery. I have not had anything done with my AN yet. I am going to have CK here in about a month. I have memory problems....I have found myself forgetting what I'm talking about mid sentence. That doesnt happen very often but remember little things is my main issue. I do remember.....eventually. I have problems like the artical was saying....did I leave the stove on? or did I close the garage door? I always have to double sometimes triple check. I know I'm not the only one that is having these problems....without having surgery. I just dont know why? I'm sure fatigue & the lack of concentration has alot to do with it. Well I just wanted to add my input.

I'm also having memory problems.  It's gotten worse over the past months especially after finding out the tumor had grown.  The only other time in my life I've felt that way, as far as memory goes, was after my second child's birth.  So in that regard, I'm hoping the memory problems are more associated with stress and fatigue.  Let's hope so.  Planning CK soon.
