...had my 10 year (and LAST) MRI results back... and they found NOTHING in my head, I am now "normal" (lol) After 10 years - still have my crooked smile, have the normal AN sound issues (direction), Eye still gets dry on windy days. but there isn't anything I can't do that I did before. Life is Good.

Dear Postmark,
Thanks for the posting! You must be thrilled!
My guess is you will be monitored once in a great while with MRI's since you had problems on the one side, before.
Congratulations. That is the most fabulous news.
Best regards,
Palace

Hi, postmark:
Sincere congratulations on your 10-year 'anniversary' and a 'clean' MRI! We all need to know that an acoustic neuroma can be removed successfully and even with a few lingering effects from the tumor and/or surgery, we can go on to live a good life, as you have.
Not only does time heal but life is good, indeed. :)

Hi
congratulations for 10years. I just joined your site yesterday. I had my surgery in 1995. I still need an MRI every year but as long as the dr reads the MRI and it is ok, I do not need to physically go and see him any more. I joined because last summer and now this summer I have been experiencing fullness and numbness on the side I have no hearing. Reading comments and info from all o fyou. I would appreciate any long term members that started experiancing these problems after all this time.

Congrats and it's good to hear that you are normal! :)

I just found out yesterday that my MRI showed no changes-7 years after removal! I consider this phase of life to be over!!!!!
