I haven't had a lot to say over the last few months but do lurk here from time to time. I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Let's hope 2011 is a better year for us all!
Best wishes,
Wendy

Hi and ditto what Steve said!
Except for the 'let it snow part' - we had the infamous 'snowmegedon' here in the Mid-Atlantic last December, and i am not sure i am ready for a repeat of that....!
A couple of inches of snow for a white Christmas would be fine - but please, not two feet again.
Ho Ho Ho!
Sue
PS And a Happy Birthday to you, too, Steve! Since we share a birthday, I will raise my glass for you!

Happy Holiday wishes to all and I hope all your Holiday wishes come true!

Merry Christmas to all! I respect the wishes of all those who don't want large amounts of snow, but I for one wish that the Houston weather gods would wake up and realize that this is December and not April ! We had record highs yesterday and I have friends who showed up for a party in flip-flops and shorts. ??? ??? I know Christmas should be in my heart-and it is as I thank the Lord for all my blessings-but I want to drink hot chocolate and mulled cider without breaking out in a sweat :D :D

I echo Ms Priscilla - I thought that I was going to have to put sunscreen on the kids yesterday!!

A very Merry Christmas to all!
After almost 2 weeks of freezing my butt off in Virginia Beach, I think I need to head to Kay and Priscilla's neck of the woods with a bottle of sunscreen and a cold glass of iced tea.
Let it snow - anywhere but here!
Enjoy!!

We've got just enough snow to make everthing white.
Maybe the snow gods will give you a dusting tonight.
It's happened before in Houston, you just never know ;)
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :)

I am visiting family in Brockton Massachusetts and we had 5 inches of snow a few days ago then 2 more Thursday Night. It's going to be a white Christmas here! I return to Florida on Monday, as long as we don't get snowed in by the storm Sunday night and Monday :).
Merry Christmas everyone!

I am definitely hoping that 2011 will be a better year than 2010. Even the year I was diagnosed with my AN wasn't as horrendous as this one has been.
Merry Christmas to all and best wishes for a fantastic New Year!!!

Hi All!
Well, it's 11:19 and I'm just stopping by with good Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate) wishes for all of you! It looks like we're in for a pretty cold weekend -- temperatures in the 20s and 30s, but only a possibility of snow flurries and light snow in the forecast for the next couple couple of days. Since there's a Noreaster heading this way, I guess we're dodging the bullet.
Happy birthday to Steve and Maureen and Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Wendy
P.S. Jan - I hope 2011 is a much better year for you

My house has been full of good cheer and tons of good food! My fridge is packed with containers of great leftovers. I don't think I will need to cook for several days. I love having someone to cook for, other than just sweet hubby and me.

Hope Santa brought everyone everything they wanted. ;D
I got my Christmas smile this year! Yay! Well, it's not perfect, but better than total facial paralysis! (smile restoration surgery this past May).
And I also got my Kindle so I can cozy up and read large font books, and go shopping for the best reads, all on my comfy chair!
Blessed new year to all!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
speaking of cooking and leftovers... my husband is the cook in the family. he made turkey and dressing (homemade cornbread dressing) and we went to a friend's house and had Christmas dinner. We accidently left our turkey leftovers there (after we had divvied it all up) and had eaten all the dressing. So yesterday after church, he went to the store, bought ANOTHER turkey, made more homemade dressing and now we're eating it all over again!
I hope everyone is having a good week (we didn't get any of the snow, well just a very little bit). Stay safe and warm.
And after you've eaten lots and are feeling guilty and stuffed join us on the "let's walk or run or something' thread. I need some exercise motivation!
