Title: My New Year's Wish!
Post by: MDemisay on January 10, 2014, 08:15:20 am
To those visiting for the first time and to those of you here for a long time,

I wish you health and the fellowship of this shared diagnosis and peace of mind that there is strength in numbers. Keep posting your thoughts and pass this around!

Very nice wish.

Personally I just wish I'd win the lottery!   ;D

Apparently the chances of getting an Acoustic Neuroma are better than the chances of winning the lottery.

Dear Jan,

Wishing these three things  (a Trifecta) is a lot easier than winning the lottery (which you've won already if you have an AN or so Dr. Sisti tells me). Although achieving the latter two maybe easier in leaps and bounds than the first!

Given my storied history (attached ) I feel rather lucky to be alive to have lived for thirty years (when survival from brain operations was spotty at best) without another brain event (AN) which is also quite extraordinary....I feel lucky to have reached this point to be among you and feel priveleged and happy to recount my story again and again.
