I am Looking to Contact a Patient of Proton Therapy at LomaLinda U Hosp in So-CA or a similar treatment
I am asking for CONTACT INFORMATION!!
HI, all!
I am contacting Loma Linda University Hospital to evaluate their treatment of Proton Therapy for treatment of my AN.
I'm looking to contact anyone that has ALREADY HAD their treatment THERE. I WANT To see what their RESULTS were.
Were you satisfied with the treatment? ;D
What would you do differently?
Would you do it again? :)
Did it SAVE your hearing ......like they say it should? ???
Did you have any problems with facial muscles...like they say one shouldn't? :-*
Did you have any side effects....like they say there aren't? :'(
They say it's SUPER for Prostate Cancer, but this is not that END of the body--ha-ha!! I guess it is good for tumors that are difficult to get to without causing problems to another part of the body!
They have such a great site, but, I want some DIFFERENT information. Other people can check them out at...http://www.protons.com/ (http://www.protons.com/)
I also checked out...http://www.proton-therapy.org/ (http://www.proton-therapy.org/) which is useful for information for other locations and contact info.
As well as this site:...http://www.rehabpub.com/issues/articles/2007-07_09.asp (http://www.rehabpub.com/issues/articles/2007-07_09.asp) which is an article I found ABOUT Proton Therapy.
But, I am LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE IT. If you could write BACK to me, I'd appreciate it.
THANKS!! ;D

Hi Idaho,
I know of folks that had Proton done here in Boston (the USA only has a few Proton therapy machines in the country, just fyi). There is a woman here by the username "tsl"... (Theresa) and she had proton done on her AN late last year. I have to side note that I saw her 2 wks ago at our local ANA brunch and she looked terrific and noted she was doing well. I also believe past site users of BostonJake and BostonAN (?) also had in Boston (Mass Gen Hosp offers proton... as Loma Linda and MGH seem to be the 2 biggest Proton centers).
I hope that helps.
