Arrived in LA a couple of hours ago...checked in to Seton Hall...pleasantly surprised...saw a couple of real Emmys being carried through the airport! ;D
Hoping all goes well tomorrow and I get the green light to go!!!! Can't wait to see you Nancy and David (and maybe Lanie?)...
My husband is going to call Donnalynn after surgery at let her know and she will post!

Glad to hear that you're checked in and ready - for me the waiting was the hardest part! Post op tomorrow? Everyone I met there was great, you will do well!

I have a special PDX ANA buddy who is having surgey at HOUSE today and is also at Seton...
He has been in my prayers and thoughts all day.

Long, long day of pre-op...but it is good to go! I loved all the drs! I tried to negotiate amount of hair shaved with Brackmann but he wasn't budging ;D
I met with Nancy and LADavid for lunch - thanks guys, so much, it really was wonderful to actually meet with you right before the big cut!

It was so great to meet you and your husband today. The caringbridge site is a wonderful idea. (Thanks for the link, Jan!) And I'm so glad you made it to Santa Monica!

Best wishes Cheryl. House is a great place. My PDX ANA buddy is there still in ICU and had a successful surgery. Once you are up and at it I- post. I will give you his name and you two can meet while comparing incisions there at Seton Hall.

I just checked Cheryl's blog http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/cherylroberto. Charlie just posted an update. I hope they don't mind me posting it here:
"the Doctors came up to the waiting room at 5PM Ca. time.They said she smiled after surgery and they saved the faial nerve. They think they perserved the hearing but won't know until they're sure about the blood supply to the nerve.they said I can see her at 5:30 so I'm out of here!! P.S. Thanks for all your love and help..Charlie(for Cheryl)"

Our PDX ANA buddy from Oregon is just down the hall. This person is one day ahead of you and is doing well. I just viewed the photos of the new Mohawk buzz cut as the bandage is now off. I hope you can connect. You can compare incisions, stitches and marvel about how delicious :P the cafeteria food is. ;) This buddy is also at Seton and I have given them your names. I hope you-all connect.
