I recently moved to Mountain View California and I am looking for an audiologist with experience with the Transear. Anyone out there from the Bay Area with a Transear? Could you refer me to your Audiologist? I did get two names from the manufacturer but both of them are taking appointments three months out. I was hopign to get started sooner.
Thanks

Jim,
Great to see you! How have you been doing?
Mountain View... know it all too well! Office in San Jose and have done many trips there! :)
Ok, first came to mind... "matti" (Cheryl) on this site... she is in your immediate area and has tried out TransEar... she can give you the pros and cons of it, from her situation. I would send her a PM or wait until she logs on.....she's prolly one of the closest contacts re: the device.
Hope that helps.

Jim,
We stayed in a short term stay apartment in Mountain View during my surgery (I chose to go out-of-state for surgery) . Nice place! Nice looking main street area that I did not get to enjoy (post op etc) … and I hope to get back there under more FUN ;D circumstances.
I would suggest contacting the Stanford ENT department and get their opinion on the transear.

However I only see the BAHA on this site for SSD

Maybe contact my surgeon Dr. Jackler- he is the department head there… he might have an opinion (which I too would like to hear)
Let us all know what you find out re the trans-ear… I am VERY interested in it. I know the Baha is an option but I do just not want another hole in my head… here at 8 + weeks post op.
