I had my AN treatment (gamma knife) about 7 yrs ago. I am completely deaf in my rt ear. I purchased a very expensive pair of CROS hearing aids a year or so ago and now cannot use them due to eczema in both ears (watering, itching, etc.). So, my question is this - is there any type of CROS hearing aid on the market that does not need to be inserted into the ears at all (possibly mounted in a small headphone kind of setup, eye glasses, etc). I don't see why the hearing aids need to be inserted into the ears if all they are doing is transmitting sounds from bad ear to good ear. The CROS hearing aids did work - I just can't wear them any more. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi campbellmerlin .....
Although it requires a relatively minor surgical procedure, you might be a candidate for a bone-anchored hearing system. I have worn my Oticon Medical Ponto Pro for almost 7 years with no issues whatsoever. Check out both of the types below:

Because you need regular MRIs, you need to check on any system that uses magnets under the skin.
Hope that helps.
