OMG!!!!!!!!!! Both of your names are
BLUE!!!!!!!!!
when I see you on the forum home page!
;)
Phyl
-
Ohhhhh.... you guys must be in trouble.....!!! :o
-
Blue means trouble ! ;)
-
I thought blue meant moderator ???
Are you guys about to join Joef and Phyl in their non-paying jobs?
Non-paying as in no financial gain - not in terms of undying gratitude from others ;D
Jan
and BTW, I was not eavesdropping - Lori, wasn't either I'm sure ;)
-
geesh, I wonder if we can get them "junior" bullwhips so they can keep folks in line... you know, bullwhips with training wheels!
(welcome guys!)
Yeppers, they're "blue" :)
Phyl
(Jan.... shhhhhhhh... we didn't tell 'em about non-paying.... shhhhhhh!!!!) ;)
you all not eavesdropping!?!?! HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!! Only with good ears, right? ;)
-
Non paying????? Who's going to buy the first round in Chicago??? Maybe the 4 of you should start saving now...
Lori
And Congratulations guys!
-
All right, what's all this, then? Move along, folks, nothing to see here... 8)
Thanks - I think. :D
Steve
-
Steve's buying! Yep! Works for me! :)
-
Geez, Phyl, Steve's already tougher than you usually are :(
I hope Jim will be nicer to us ;D
I second the motion for Steve to buy the drinks.
Better yet, I'm thinking that we should hit up the doctors. I'd imagine they all must have a little more disposable income that the rest of us do LOL
The rule should be if you are an AN patient and your doctor is present at the symposium, he (or she) has to buy you a drink. Hmm, let's see I had a neurotologist and a neurosurgon, that's two . . .
Perhaps I could send invites to the resident who did my fat graft, the anesthesiologist who knocked me out, my ENT . . . ;D

*cracks well-worn bullwhip*
Oh, REALLY!? ;D
well, that rules out my medical team.......
*walks off sulking* :'(
-
Why? Aren't they planning on attending ???
We could always go back to the Steve idea. I've heard he's very generous ;D
-
not to my knowledge... I've noted it to him (my RO).... hmmmmmmm... I'll see him in August.... another hint (yep, an infamous Phyl-style of hint!) will be in order.
Yep, Steve's buying..... we need to tell him now so he can start saving up the $$. ;D
-
Tell him to save lots.
It's pretty hot and humid in Chicago in August and even with the air conditioning in the hotel, we'll all be parched I'm sure ;)
-
I hereby commit every dime of my earnings as a forum moderator to buying you all drinks at the symposium in Chicago in 2009.
;D
-
Gee, what a guy ;)
Okay, now everyone needs to lobby the ANA to start paying moderators LOL
-
Steve has such a sunny disposition. I think it was from all those California Gamma Rays he got last fall. ;)(Maybe those stars should be bright orange and red- instead)
Good choice… we got a Pacific Northwesterner in there moderating us. 8)
Go Portland! ;D

Jan, I like your idea of the doctors picking up the tab! I was at a teaching hospital - lots of onlookers - I think they should ALL have to chip in! I may need a designated driver. Oh wait, I hear Debbi's back on the road again... :D
Steve, does this mean we're not getting our knit hats? :'(
Lori
-
Oh yea, the knit hats.
Steve will be so busy moderating now that he won't have time to knit :'(
And I was so looking forward to that hat. However will I keep my BAHA warm ???
Last week someone called us the 3 musketeers - I think it was Ann Marie - guess it's just Lori and me now since Steve's been promoted :(
Wonder if Debbi has a cool car? Maybe we could recruit her, Lori ;D We can add her to the drink list, too. Steve's buying you know.

We have addressed payment for moderators before - well for phyl anyway but the same applies to all moderators. They can have double (to reflect the importance of the role) than they get as crew on the good ship PBW!!

Jim Scott is such an eloquent writer; kind nurturing and sensitive- yet sensible. The sort of person we all wish our doctors to be… especially when we are having one of those emotional AN moments and we are wondering what our options are.
I always enjoy reading his responses.
He is going to make a great moderator.

I've had the honor of meeting Jim Scott (and JoeF) in person...... I ain't sayin' a word! :-X
Payment for services received to the Mods?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, don't make me laugh!!!!!! OH, my sides hurt from laughing!!!!!!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
*falls off chair, ROFL!*
I needed that laugh! :)

Beautifully said, Mazy.
I joke around a lot here on the forum, but I'm totally serious when I say I couldn't agree with you more.
Congratulations to both Jim and Steve :)

What a splendid idea! Thank you, Jan, thank you Mazy and thanks to all for the kind words and good wishes. You guys are the best. It's a pleasure to be in your service, such as it is.

Oooo, promotions were given out on the poop deck and I missed the ceremonies! Well, a belated 100 gun salute and we'll even set off the ship's cannons and hoist the AN flag in your honor, Jim and Steve! Congratulations. We've got the Mama, and now we got the Papas! Well done, Gents, well done.

"Go Portland" is right! We're so proud.

Laz the generous
I don't know how I missed this quote before ???
Apparently Laz is the generous one, so Steve is now off the hook for drinks. Looks like Laz is buying ;D

What a great chioce for two new mods. Congrats guys. We'll try to keep the mischeif and mayhem contained to the GM thread. No, really, we'll try. Honest.

Hey thanks Jan! We had a great time. My MIL kept all 5 kids so Dave & I could go out with my SIL! Good times were had by all until Dave dropped us off and went to WalMart where he then kind of wrecked his car!!!!!!! I had to go get him!! Poor guy - he's dealt w/ a LOT lately!!
K
-
Thank God for Grandmas. Don't you just love it when they take the kids for a while?
Hope Dave - and his car - are okay.
-
He "kind of" wrecked his car??? I hope he's okay. The poor guy. Walmart seems to be a dangerous place lately!
Lori
-
Yes, it does. At least this was only in the parking lot -- he had to park it in a handicapped space (that's all he could get it into to -- closest) and you know how I feel about non-handicappers parking in a handicap space!! YIKES! We will have to get it towed 1st thing in the morning...
We are blessed with 2 wonderful Grandmothers!!
