Title: Electroactive Polymer Technology
Post by: nancyann on June 13, 2010, 11:25:49 am
Hi everyone:  It looks like scientists at UC Davis Health System in Sacramento Ca. are developing a way to allow a paralyzed eyelid to move !!! It's used to create an artificial eyelid muscle.  It may take 5 years before they try this procedure on humans.  I'll be waiting in line for this !!

Me too Nancy! Meanwhile, I'm getting a brow lift in the fall.
I had my facial reanimation surgery 13 May (4 weeks ago). I'm going to post pics of my hopefully new smile in a couple of months. Keep posted. I had muscle from my leg transplanted into my cheek and had the masseter nerve attached to the muscle, so sort of kind of the same idea!

When it's time for clinical trials all they need to do is advertise here and they would have all the subjects they need.
