Title: End of the first week for Tamster
Post by: Tamster on December 14, 2009, 11:50:11 am
This will be short since the eyes focusing is still challenging, but I do want everyone to know I'm alive and doing just fine.
A million thanks to so many for your well wishes, thoughts, prayers and visits. (Loved meeting the LA posse, Mike, Pam, Lisa and Jay's in-laws. Finally got to meet Jay a day or two later.)
All these wonderful people make me feel so surrounded in good energy...
More later....but I know how closely I was following those who just had surgery as I awaited my date, so hope this is encouraging to someone waiting in the wings. You CAN get through this!

Great to hear from you!  We know just what you mean about the eye, so don't push it on our account ;)   So glad you're already on the other side of surgery...know you are too!  Get your rest, walk, then get some more rest...repeat often!

Thanks for checking in with us,

Cindy

Hi Tammy,

So glad you are doing so well and on the postie side now. I am waiting in the wings, my surgery is on the 28th in Boston with Dr. Peter Black. I'm getting all of my ducks in a row, and Christmas shopping out of the way.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Take care,

Tammy ~

Congratulations on your successful surgery - and thanks for posting!  We know the challenges you're facing and that the first week post-op can be a bit bumpy, so don't be concerned about the length or frequency of your posts.  Just rest and recover, then, let us know how you're doing - when you're up to it.  We understand.  Really.

Jim

Tam,

Very glad to hear you are doing well!  Please do not overdo it, take it easy and let your body recover/adjust.  But feel free to stop by and post a quick message letting us know how you are doing  ;)

Thanks everyone. Today I got the stitches out and we left Seton Hall. We're going to stay two nights at Manhattan Beach before heading back to Salt Lake on Saturday.  I've got lots of double vision today  but alll is progressing well and I'm almost done with all the medications. I'll be so glad to be off of them.

Our girl Tamster
Is now a Postie!!

How about the underground sloping tunnel from St. V's cafeteria to Seton Hall? Sorta like being in a funhouse, no?

Congratulations on making it to the other side and rest, rest, rest--then when your done resting--walk, walk, walk!  It will help lots with the wobblies!

Hugs,

Tammy,

I'm too out-of-it still to remember if I responded to this yet, so let me make sure.  I am still cheering for you.  I knew you would do great!  Keep getting better and we will talk when we are both feeling better.
