I had my six month f/u MRI following my initial diagnosis today. I am happy to report that the AN has not grown and is stable. I am thankful that I will not at this time be facing the difficult decision of surgery. I am ccurrently only 7 weeks post-op from having a partial knee replacement and was not anxious about the prospects of another surgery. My ENT appointment is Sept 3rd and I am hopeful that he will put me on a yearly follow up. My AN is small measuring only 2.3mm per dimension. Like others have said despite the size, it does cause some minor symptoms which is how it was found. This site definitely has provided me valuable insight and comfort. Thank you all.

Julie,
Congratulations on the good MRI report. Martha would say, "No AN growth is a good thing."

That's great Julie. May your AN fail to thrive. :D

I wasn't sure how to interpret the "f/u" part of your subject line :D but I'm glad to hear your MRI shows no growth.
Congratulations,

Like Jan, I wasn't sure how to interpret "f/u" in the subject line. Heh. Congrats on a good MRI report.

Hi Julie,
congrats on the update... it's still VERY VERY small and yes, you have time to take a deep breath and do any and all research you need to do, just in case.
Jan/My Pooter... geesh! Don't even go there! :)

Sorry for the confusion with f/u but I have worked in the medical field my entire life and I have used it as an abbreviation for follow up.
Have a great day.

Sorry, Phyl.
I didn't notice Lori take this shameless step towards humor, so I figured it was my "job" ::) :P
Jan

no worries, jan and Julie.. I'm actually getting a chuckle outta it! :)
-
Well, Phyl, if I can provide you with a chuckle, my job for the day here is done ;)

Great news, Julie. May each MRI from now on be the same.
And Jan, whatever happened to the other half of your comedy duo, Lori. I was sure she would be the first to comment on the f/u. Of course I am sure we could all be tempted :o to catagorize MRIs that way.

You know, David, I've been noticing that Lori is slipping lately - she must be letting her life interfere with her number of posts :D
I was doing that myself for a few days after I got back from my trip, but now I'm right back to my "addiction" ;)
BTW, I know I owe you a response to an email you sent me in response to an email I sent you. I haven't forgotten; just haven't had time to catch up on everything yet.
Hope life's treating you well ;D

Jan~
I was befuddled about the f/u but NEVER thought the way you did...in fact, when Phyl commented, I had to go back & read it about 5 times before I got it...glad I am the good, naive, and WHOLESOME sister!!! (Most of the time...)

all I can say in my defense is - someone has to be the good, naive, wholesome one ::)
Lori and I definitely missed the boat on that one :D

Julie:
Although your abbreviation for 'follow up' certainly elicited some valiant attempts at avoiding using it as the vehicle for risqué humor, I understood it (well, it did take a moment) and I wanted to congratulate you on this milestone. I hope every future MRI is equal to this one in showing no further growth.
By the way, I checked with Starbucks®: A high post count here and $2.75 will get you a tall Caffé Mocha. :) However, I can appreciate the time and effort expended by those with post counts in the stratosphere (Phyl, Jan) and recognize that these folks are vital contributors to the forums and their high post counts are simply emblems of their dedication. Unfortunately, they aren't redeemable for cash. ;)

I don't know about you Jim, but if it were me, I'd tell Phyl to skip the Grande Caffe Mocha and give me the keys to the moderator's Leer Jet for the night ;)

Cool, Phyl 8)
Now all we need is your address - oh, yea - and a pilot :D

I've flown glider planes. I'm sure it has to be about the same as flying a Lear Jet ;). Wait a minute, I still have problems driving a car.
