Yippee for me that I went hiking and didn't come home with a headache! I am having liver issues (a cyst) so I thought it would be prudent to give my system a rest so I titrated off my Topamax and Neurontin in the past couple of weeks. I had migraines a week ago Saturday and and this past Friday, but decided to take a risk on this beautiful Easter Sunday and go hiking in the mountains. NO SCREAMING HEADACHE other than about a pain level 2 or 3. It stopped a little while after I got back to the car. This is about the first time since my surgery 6 years ago that I've been able to do any significant exercise without preventive meds. Any time my heart rate gets up a bit, I get a slight headache, but this time it didn't escalate. I hiked about 2 1/2 miles and it was up and down hill. Maybe I'm getting better!
We'll see how I do tomorrow. My pattern is to wake up with a headache the day after exerting myself. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!
No headaches!

Fingers and toes crossed up here!
Sure wish I had an eye patch, though.

Way to go Capt!
I will hope and pray that your headaches do NOT return to haunt you!

What a great feeling! Good for you. Let's hope tomorrow brings you no reminder but the memories of the hike.

Captain Deb!
Awesome news. I'm saying a prayer that the headache monster doesn't visit today and you have clear "sailing" through the rest of the aches and pains too! What a wonderful Easter treat to hike and be virtually pain free. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope today was headache free too Capt. Sounds like you could use a break. Makes me think of kicking the topomax to the curb myself. I'm going to be seeing my neuro on the 29th and I'll be telling him my headaches are more frequent and more intense...he'll likely want to up my dosage but i'm thinking of chucking it all and seeing what happens.
Hope yours continue to fade.

Congratulations - Lucky you. After reading your messages for the past 3 years, it gives me hope that "headache free" is out there. Great news.
