Title: I Feel Great!
Post by: ellenvig on October 10, 2006, 07:32:40 pm
Hi Everyone.

I am now 2.5 weeks post-GK, and I feel great!  I'm not ready to run marathons, and don't particularly want to go to the gym yet, but I can't believe how much more energy I have now.  I'm more alert, I'm not just a blob on the couch, and I feel SO much better in general.  I didn't realize how far I had declined neurologically before getting treatment.  I'm so glad I got treated when I did!

Anyway, just checking in. :)

I'm glad to hear it Ellen! It also helps that you aren't worried about it on a day by day basis - sleep and relaxation is good!

Wow, Ellen, you are doing so Good!!!  At 2 weeks I don't think I knew my name!  I'm so sure all the pre-ops love to hear this.

Just wondering are you on any steroids?

With 3 kids under 6, one of whom still wakes up a few times a night to nurse, I'm not getting any more sleep than before.   :)  That laundry isn't piling up as much though!  And the kitchen floor got mopped for the first time in a LONG time.

I had Gamma Knife and was on steroids for about the first week.  Very low dose though.

That was some strange bathroom set up!  Glad to hear you're doing so well!

Hi Ellen - I am happy to hear you are feeling energized and with 3 little ones running around, energy is a priority!  All the pre-treatment worry really takes its toll on the mind and body. Hope you are taking a little time for yourself during the day. Nap time for kiddies and nap time for mommy!!

When is your next MRI?

Take care,
hugs,
Cheryl
