Title: Introduction to radiation for children and families

I found this video while researching charities for the funds raised during the 2009 Cape Cod Bay Challenge. It's aimed at kids and their families but shows a linac and the Proton beam in action. Thought some folks would be interested.

Thanks Bob for sharing this... its important to be able to share this, esp. for those that are young and may be scared.  It helped me to see the CK unit before I had my treatment (I was able to sneak in the week before my treatment) to help curb the "fear of the unknown" in what I was up against for the process itself.

Hehe...when I went back into work after proton beam treatment one of the young guys I worked with had used photoshop to put my head on a picture of the incredible hulk, printed it almost life size and put it in my office. Pretty funny...and not nearly as bad as some of the things I had done to others, including him.... ;)
