Thanks for the update, Donnalynn! We are sending you continued strength, hope, and love!!
As for major cancer centers, Priscilla is right. MD Anderson in Houston is reknowned. So is Sloan Kettering in NY and Mayo in Rochester, MN. You can't go wrong with any of those.

Some firemen have also offered to come and help, so that will be wonderful! I have a tree I need to take down before the heavy snow comes, as it is leaning on my fence!
Jim would never do the ensure thing...
However he does love Chocolate shakes...
I have to giggle at some of this, actually our home has been giggling some all day about your suggestions here's why.... this is just toooooo funny....and so ironic!!!!!
Firstly Iris Evans ( who was Finance Minister untill the last Cabinet shuffle these past months) has been my daughters boss!!!!!! That's right Vanessa has been working as Iris's personal Assistant here at the Edmonton Legislature Assemblies!!!!!! In fact Vanessa recently flew with Iris on the Gov. private jet along with the Premier and discussed our problem with him!!!! ....
As well, Iris is a personal Friend....
... In fact Vanessa is with Iris as I type this at a conference......and you can bet that this is a subject that Vanessa will be again talking about...
Vanessa is considering running against Iris in the up and coming election ( next year!) Sometimes she jokes about this idea, but lately she is talking more and more about this.....
Don't worry.... I'm not done fighting this battle!
This weekend is Our Canadian Thanks-giving, and I will be thanking the good L-rd for you all, who have kept me sane these past weeks, and have held us all up in your prayer, your good wishes and your friendships.
We will always have the poor among us, so if we all can help in a small way, it can help... we have seen many, many people helped with the smallest of gestures!
Wow,
You ladies are amazing! All that you do, in addition to taking care of yourselves, and Jim (BTW this thread has been officially hijacked now that Jim is doing better. Though we continue to pray
for him. ;) )
Hard enough just taking care of myself, but it DOES feel sooo good to help others-kind of take my mind off of my own problems. Keep doing all you do, and take care of yourselves!

doing for others , be it volunteering at school so that teacher can have an extra 15 minutes away from class ( sometimes a necessity for sanity reasons ;D ) or collecting for needy , is doing for myself ...makes me feel useful ...since I have not worked (for pay) since surgery , I feel useless at times ... so helping out where I am able is self healing treatment for me ...
