Title: Cysts disappearing after second MRI follow up.
Post by: mwatto on October 04, 2020, 10:30:18 pm
Just had report on second MRI and I asked for focus on the two small cystic components specifically this time as I was most anxious re these. My AN has again shrunk slightly and is off the brainstem - AND- there are "no cystic aspects visualised" my professor said its wonderful how my body is healing and confirmed that twice in the report no cysts sighted was mentioned (I have a copy now). Its really incredible to me! Has this happened to anyone else after radiation?

mwatto - that is great news and so happy for you.  I would love to know if you are doing any particular vitamins or meditation, etc.  Anything is always worth trying if it is working for someone.

Great news Michele !
Yes I had one cyst that shrank and dissipated over time after CK.

Be well,

Stella

Hi Stella and GB - I am looking into Honopure now but I currently take boswellia, bromelain and melatonin. I also take D3 and querectin - am bad with supplements I often dont take every day. Am wondering if Honopure is ok after radiation as its an antioxidant...and radiation works through oxidisation.

mwatto,
I had not heard of honopure, so had to look it up.  From what I was reading it is good for cellular regeneration and cancer patients.
I would be curious of your thoughts after a few weeks.  I am getting ready to look into Vitamin B, D, and melatonin.   I am having trouble staying asleep, and wicked night sweats.

I am going through the dreaded facial palsy right now, so trying to not panic.  Hoping it is the swelling from radiation and not the rapid growth not missing a beat.  On steroids and Dr. Office asked from me to reach back after the holidays to get the MRI scheduled.
Did you have facial issues?  Did you do exercises etc.
Thanks
v/r GB

Hi Michele,

I remember reading about Honokiol, but Ive never tried it. Not sure about its effect on the tumor post radiation, although
this study on cells concludes "Honokiol, a low molecular weight natural product, inhibits cell proliferation and promotes apoptosis in schwannoma cells "... sounds positive.

The inhibitory effect of honokiol, a natural plant product, on vestibular schwannoma cells

Hi there Stella how are you doing?! Still waiting for Honopure but it was recommended here (look up Lisa M) I am also hoping it will help with sleep.

Hi GB
I walk most days. Have had insomnia for 4 years - hence I am on Circadin and compounded melatonin troches- I use both or either or most nights. The Honopure I hope will help with insomnia as thats what I have read its most used for- the anti tumor activity is a bonus and it seems to have helped some members like Lisa M. Other than that I work on keeping all inflammation down- I take calcium fructoborate (a natural boron) I take boswellia and bromelain and also Vit D3 and PEA (palmitoylethanomide). I barely eat sugar except in fruit or very occasionally organic raw honey. I do get earache sometimes when I sleep which wakes me up but I also changed my mindset as my last MRI showed shrinking - and thats when my ear pain was the worst! No I just think oh yes all good. I dont have facial issues or balance or hearing (maybe a wee bit but audiologist says not much). The only symptom I ever had was earache why it took two years to diagnosis - essentially diagnosed myself. Yours def sounds more like swelling. Will report back on Honopure!
