Title: Cancerous Brain Tumor support groups
Post by: Patti UT on October 15, 2006, 06:54:01 pm
Hi All,

My uncle has was diagnosed and quickly operated on last March for a very aggressive form of malignant brain tumor/cancer. They removed what they could, have done the radiation, and a very differenct form of chemo than I have ever hear of, and given him a short time line.  He is still in the angry phase, he's only 58 and was just about to retire
If anyone knows of a good support forum like this one, please let me know. I think it would be good for him to talk with others going through what he is.

Thanks

Patti, google MD Anderson Cancer center in Houston.  I have lost two friends to brain cancers, one primary and one from testicular cancer.  Anderson is a wonderful facility and probably has support group information online.

There is also the National Brain Tumor Foundation.  Might want to check out their resources.

and don't forget ABTA...not sure if they have a forum, but they mostly focus on cancerous brain tumors.
