Hello and welcome tlmdinger:

I am sorry about your AN not dying.  Regrowth is always in the back of my mind.

I can't help with surgeons out your way but there are alot of easterners on here who will answer your post.  It is pretty quiet on here now, but weekdays, everyone comes on.

Hang in there, Kathy

*runs in to help the cause*

Hi Tim,

sorry things are not going well for you.  You really haven't stated much, so let me ask you this?

1.  You had Novalis FSR over a certain amt of time?
2. What was your size of AN at time of treatment?
3. When was last MRI? Was it with contrast?
4.  Size of growth at last MRI?

Why is the feeling that the FSR isn't working? Is this based on your thoughts or something the doc said?

Hang in there...we're here to help.

Phyl

*blows kisses to the Irish Wench and the Battywench!*  :-*

If you live close to the PA/WV state line.  Dr. Fukushima is very well known and respected in the field of AN.  He is at West Virginia University one week per month.  Your physician would need to refer you.

I live in PA and had my surgery done at Jefferson (the host of this year's symposium).  What area of PA are you looking for?

If you're near New York City, there are great doctors and hospitals there.

I went to Allegheny General In Pittsburgh.  I've never felt so confident in my life.  My surgeons were incredible.  I can't even beleive I was in the same room as them.  It almost felt divine.

My surgeons said they deal with about a 100 of "these" a year from all over the world.  Both big and small.  I think when I'm old and senile I think I'd still remember the Acoustic Neuroma before most anything else.  I think of it every morning when I wake up and every night when I go to bed.  For me, July was one of the craziest times of my life, but for my Surgeons...it was just another day.
