Interesting. I'm a member of BTA (in the UK) where members discuss their tinnitus problems. I feel out of place there because I know the cause of my tinnitus whereas members there often don't (unless it's down to long-term excessive noise) and theirs sounds so much worse than mine. (given that noise is subjective and hard to assess objectively)
I often wonder if a treatment for tinnitus will be developed and, if it is, whether it's likely to be effective in the case of tinnitus caused by acoustic neuroma. If I live long enough (I'm 68) I might get to find out!
