So, I'm on the telephone with another AN'er from here who will remain nameless *blows kiss to matti* and we decided, that since the 15th of December is around the corner, we want to put together our AN Holiday Gift Wish List.......
Now, there are guidelines to this wishlist, so please keep this in mind.
1. Has to be AN related
2. You don't have to answer like a contestant for the Miss Universe pageant with "I would like World Peace"
3. Keep it clean (since the spam bots handle the rest for us)
4. You can keep your gift wish or pass along to another like an office "Yankee Grab"
So, here goes.
For my holiday wish gift, I would like 50 shares of stock in GlaxoSmithKline since they manufacture Imitrex and I certainly keep them in business! :)

1. I want to receive my new TransEar (current one is not large enough, so we are making a new one) before Christmas, so I will be able to distinquish if Santa is actually landing on my roof or the neighbors to the right of me.
2. no wonky head in 2007
3. stop bumping into walls and walking like a drunk
4. to remember what I did 5 minutes ago
5. Continue sailing the high seas on the PBW

Here's mine:
1. An explanation for 'Tim Tams' what is / are those?
2. I want my spelling to be perfect again, no more dyslexia
3. I would like to sleep for longer than 4 am, even only just one more time in my life
4. I would like my original doc to get an AN, serves you right
5. And may he also get zapped, by GK
6. I'd like the TransEar people to actually respond to my e-mails
7. Maybe a TransEar might be going a bit to far, but heck there you are
8. I'd like Thomas Keller to cook for my 3rd Anniversary meal next year (dream on)
9. Failing that, Farran Adria in Spain will do (more dreaming)
10. And lastly and most realistically, get to know and meet some other ANers in the flesh!
I think that's it. Can't think of anything else. My memory is gone. Oh, there ye have it, I want my short term memory back too.

Hey Lorenzo - My brother Lorenzo is HR consultant to Thomas Keller, not an easy man to work with (thomas not my brother) We have a dinner party in the works for early next year at the French Laundry. Yes! it would be a fantasy of mine too if he came over to cook me dinner.
I am surprised that Rick Gilbert from TransEar has not e-mailed you ??? I did tell him about you and he said that TransEar is due in the european market, mid 2007. I am having mine remade, as it is not tight enough in the canal to transfer sound. I am feeling lost without it.

Looks like I got blocked from reading and using the board, for some reason. Maybe a mistake, sure hope so.
You think TK would notice if a diff Lorenzo would turn up for a meal in November 07? LOL Kidding. Idea was to celebrate the end of treatment at the French Laundry, but I guess that is somehting that will not happen. We are going back to California for a month then, but the meal most likely be in a lesser establishment. last time we had lunches at Bouchon. :)
Yes, i'm surprised that Rick Gilbert didn't return my e-mail too. Would have liked to get a response. ah well.... I'll have to wait until it gets here I guess.
I'm glad to read to you're feeling lost without it, must make a real differenece to you!! Glad you enjoy it.

I wish everyone a copy of Suzy Becker's "I had brain surgery, what's your excuse?" and the time and ability to read it. I also wish for everyone to have sucessful nerve regeneration, and those who can't, that a little magic may happen.
I also wish a financial windfall to everyone to insure their ability to attend the Symposium. I can't wait to meet you all!!!

My wishes for 2007-(and beyond)
1/ there will be no more tumors of any kind and for the ones already here there will be simple, noninvasive cure in form of Tim Tams.
2/All the post-treatment symptoms of all the tumors disappear on Dec.24, 2006
3/All the posters gather in Australia (Cairns) for a big party.
4/All the good, compassionate, knowledgeable doctors will be cloned (esp. Docs on cyberknife site)
5/There will be no person hungry, homeless or in pain.

to have my head amputated and be given a new one, AN free, headache free, vertigo free. I can keep my same face as long as they iron out the wrinklies when they put it back on.
while I'm at it, how about a whole new body, like maybe one with a a younge rmatabolisim that isn't effected by massive Tim Tam eating.
and of course "World Peace" not in my lifetime but before the human race distroys itself

They are these wonderous aussie choccie cookie thingy that are to die for LOL

Lorenzo, if you can get to a World Market, Tim Tams are called Arnott's and they have a parrot for a logo. They are sort of like chocolate covered graham crackers...sort of. They are from Australia.
I wish for : 1. Winning a major lottery and then we'd all do something fun - my treat, like throw the biggest Pirate party ever.
2.Being on the Oprah show when she has all the AN'ers in the audience and then she decides to do her "Favorite Things" show for all of us.
3. That the tinnitus would just go away so that I could enjoy silence once more.
4. That a cure for AN is discovered that only requires an injection of our miracle cure and then the AN just disolves away without any risk or side effects.
5. That everyone is healthy and happy and that we all have a wonderful Holiday Season and can forget our troubles for awhile.
6. Tim Tams for everyone, ho, ho, ho!!

My company just left. They got me bumper-guards that strap around me (velcro) to bounce off the walls. (well, she thought it was funny but, I didn't) She said she should have gotten that for me. She left me a present under the tree. I hope she wasn't serious. She is stunned at my symptoms. Some people just can't believe it all.
Anyway, I would like my hearing back for Christmas. I know that is not possible so........good health in the future is on my list.
So, I would like good health for my dogs and husband and let me see.........I know; I've been so stressed over the whole AN saga since last summer getting to this point, I'd like a professional hour massage. (for the killer neck pain, etc.) Oh, and a much needed trip without stress of traveling. (maybe an Alaska cruise or trip to Switzerland or Europe to see artwork) Where is Santa when you need him?

PS Oh, winning the lottery would help pay all my big med bills and maybe retire for sure, in peace. (for husband and two dogs; that wouldn't hurt, either) Oh how about balance for all my AN friends on the forum, ears that don't hurt, numbness going away, no facial pain, no migraines or fatique........or other symptoms of AN.
I'm giving thanks for all I do have........let me see.........I'm not that good at humor.......more so, in person I can do great at a party. I'm not that funny online; more of a serious writer. Let me try.........

Holy-cow........I almost forgot.......man, I must be stressed-out; I want to meet one of the nicest people (who is also famous) and record a duet with him, non-other than, Mr. Joe Cocker. I gave up a vocal career for privacy. I have some regrets that I didn't go forth when I was getting there but, enjoy being private with a professional medical career.......BUT, I should have at least met someone I admire (and also, his wonderful wife.......Pam) and put-down an ALL OUT BLASTING song with AKA, John Cocker. (JOE COCKER too nice for his own good)
Well, that isn't humorous but, I had to say it because, that is on the "wish-list."
Yes, Oprah is also a wonderful person to meet. ;) Thank you Oprah for another year of having you around!
OK, back to funny.........well, we can get "happy" and still stay serious online New Year's Eve. (and have our Mega-Big-Toasting out the old year and in with the New Year coming soon)
The last wish I can think of now is, NO MORE SPAM IN 07' and clean fun forum full of help/information.

I finally "got-it!" We could wish for the old-fashioned toilet paper rolls where they aren't thin sheets and lots of air inbetween the T-paper roll. Remember the days when they were thick and tightly rolled and you didn't find yourself wasting precious time having to go put on new rolls every single day. (those with a family would understand what I'm saying if they are older and remember the good old quality days when, things were made better) Now that to me is funny but, true.
I know it has nothing to do with AN's but, I could tie it in somehow if necessary. These are jokes for AN people since they have suffered, I guess. *(including me)
Is that funny about the T-paper? I'm not really sure. I'm not a jokester.

Let's all send Oprah an email about us. She (or her agent) should be impressed just by seeing how long the "Good Morning" thread is alone to want us on the show. Let alone all the international aspects of us as well as tim tams, etc, etc. More importantly, how this forum has been godsend to many of us - literally keep us alive, keep us laughing, keep us informed...

I wrote a couple of months ago but, in numbers we might get somewhere. I wish I had known an AN existed or I would have paid for an MRI myself and not go stringing along with the missdiagnosis by doctors for WAY TOO LONG. Yes, Oprah's staff needs to call this to her attention as we can save others the wait until the AN is too large. There could be an article in Oprah's magazine to reach people who don't have TV (cable) such as, myself. I wish I had known about the symptoms and I would have been diagnosed by myself if no other person or doctor. (years ago and saved myself all this agony)
