Title: ANniversary
Post by: Joef on August 09, 2007, 06:30:10 am
Guess what? .. today is my 2 year ANniversary of my surgery!! its been a long road.. and feeling my old self now !!, '05 will be forever known as the year from hell ....

for those newbies out there with facial issues after surgery ... I had almost no movement at 1 year... and now I can move (not 100%) most of my face... and I still have more to come... I get "zaps" and little aches and pains all the time from different parts of my face that have not recovered yet, proving to me there is more to come. My Dr. did say he seen recovery after 3 years!. (I allways knew I healed a little slower than most .. even as a kid it could see that cuts and bruses took to long... so the slow nerve recovery does not surprise me)

Wishing you much happiness & continued healing.   I feel the same way about 2006 that you do about 2005.   As the song goes:
"What a long, strange trip it's been" - Jerry Garcia/Grateful Dead.

J,
Congratulations on the 2 year milestone.  It's good to hear that your facial nerve function continues to improve.
Regards,
 Rob
