Title: Celebrex Prescription
Post by: Dealy on March 29, 2007, 07:06:53 am
Herard from hospital that gave me radiation. I have just got off 6 day pack of Presidone. This is the 9th time that I have been on this since my initial radiation 9 months ago. Apparently they feel might be overdoing it with steroids-suggested 100mg-twice a day of Celebrex. I can stand it w/o it I suppose. Do not want too take something that can make things worse. Anybody no anything about this drug before I give my answer too JHH. Thanks-Ron

Celebrex is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, related to aleve and ibuprofen. Not as effective for brain swelling as prednisone. Prednisone would be better for short term use  1-2 weeks.
