Can hearing be restored in NF2 who had surgeries on both sides and lost complete hearing?

I feel the nerves are still intact and only tumor has been removed.

Can possibly do a cochlear implant.      AN intact nerve is needed.   Would not be hearing like was before.        Hopefully someone who has had it done can answer,

Cochlear works only for Acoustic Neuroma (one of the ear's hearing is damaged). In this case, both side hearing is lost.

Surgeon said ABI but we are not 100% confident on it.

Hello

I have been diagnosed incidentally with a right VS it is on my inferior vestibular nerve less than 2mm and been there for the last 10 years (now 33). No changes since then at all. no other schwanomma or lesions.

Could I be having NF2?

Thank you
