This is basically trivia as I get ready for my surgery on Wednesday. Thanks for putting up with me and my questions. :)
How long was your surgery?

Anissa ~
O.K., I'll play. :) I had retrosigmoid. No complications. Just under 9 hours. Nice nap! :D

8.5 hours but it seemed like only an hour or so to me when I woke up. It threw my whole sense of what time of day it was totally off.
It did not take long to regain that ability. ;)

Ask for an ice pack for behind your neck afterwards. My neck was quite sore from being in that position for so long, but I found the ice releived some of that.
Your going to do great, I'm sending you a big hug from across the miles... can you feel it? :-*

Thanks for posting this, as I've been wondering about it too. There aren't many middle fossa replies, which I'd particularly like to see.
Anissa, I'll be thinking about you on my daughter's birthday. April 1st was a good, good day for me back when she was born, so I expect it to bring you very good luck! :)

7 1/2 hours, translab. I was told afterwards that the tumor was a "bit of a challenge" for the neurosurgeon because of its stickiness. Great! ::)
You will do fine Anissa! You'll be asleep the whole time and it will fly by. Your husband, on the other hand, will be the one pacing and biting his nails!
I remember looking up at the lights in the OR and fading into sleep, then waking up what felt like minutes later to some LOUD rocking music (glad they had fun while operating on me) and a really sore arm.
-
9 hour translab for me.
The way I look at it, they can take as long as they need to do the job right.
You'll do great.

i think about 11 hours. in OR at around 7ish. remember waking up at 6:30pm. didn't see husband until 8:30pm (sound familiar! - just read your report).
mine stuck to my facial nerve as well. said they got it all, but have more of the facial weakness now (improving - eye is the worst part of it - smile is returning); not as hard to chew now as it was at the beginning.
