Post by: jazzfunkanne on November 25, 2008, 04:33:06 am
Hi all, when walking my son to school in the morning i practice my balance by walking and turning my head from side to side for a few seconds either side when walking, when i turn on the AN side it is fine, but when i turn on the good side i can feel my balance going a bit off anyone no why this is ??

I don't know if we're right, but I agree with Cheri.

I've always heard that with an AN your balance adjusts itself and the "good" side learns to compensate for the "bad" side.  I've found it to be true.

Sounds like what you're going through.  In time it should even itself out.

Hang in there,

Jan

Jazzfunk,
Are you right or left handed and what side was your AN on? We all have a dominant side.  I am right handed with a left AN so naturally my left side was weaker.  I think If my AN had been on my right side I might have had a harder time compensating since my left side was my naturally non-dominant side. Keep practicing your "bobblehead strut." It is really a great exercise!
