Has anyone been approved for fractionated proton therapy with Cigna? I have gone through 3 appeals and still no luck getting approval. I've been told that it isn't medically necessary and is experimental. I want fractionated over single dose because cells repair themselves after each treatment and also hearing is better preserved or improved in a very small number of cases.
If anyone has gone through this scenario, please respond. I need treatment as soon as possible.
