Title: 17 month post op~having vertigo again
Post by: Coletten on February 09, 2018, 02:47:45 pm
Hi all,
I’ve started to have bouts of vertigo again....like I had before i knew i had an AN. Had middle fossa surgery sept 2016 and had no symptoms at all until 2 weeks ago, except for being a little wobbly once in a while.
Waiting on an order in the mail for an MRI. But until then, has anyone experienced this far out post op? And if the vestibular nerve was cut, can i still have vertigo if there is regrowth?
I’m trying not to freak but I’m am not liking this at all.
Any suggestions?
Thanks so much

The vertigo could be one of lots of other reasons. Like BPPV. I have had it 1.5 years post surgery and happened to have had my annual follow up MRI-no growth. I have not had what I call an "incident" of vertigo since May 2017 (knock on wood). I'd love to NEVER have another incident. So you can have vertigo that has nothing to do with an AN. There is a website you can visit-I think VEDA.

Your ENT can address the vertigo. I'd call them. It is so miserable. Good luck.
