Title: It's been a year...
Post by: shygirl on August 14, 2008, 06:31:10 pm
Well, it's been a year. I'm submitting a day early because I have weekend plans.

I don't know what to say about it because I've had some problems that haven't resolved as of yet. I shouldn't complain-I have a great life, 3 kids who I love very much and I couldn't have this attitude if not for them. It has been a long, trying road getting here, and it gets better every day. The headaches--I can handle them now. 11 mos ago, not so much. My kids give me courage and strength to make the most of each and every day.

Thank you all for being here for the newly diagnosed and those who have already had treatment. Just by reading posts for hours I have had a ton of questions answered.

So again, I thank you all.

Congrats on making it to a year!  I'm about 3 months out and so I cannot imagine a whole year yet!  I'm sorry you continue to have issues, but I am glad the forum helped answer questions that you've had.  You are very right that kids give you courage to do things you think you can't.  I'm happy for you.

Congrats on your first ANniversary!  I can't say it is smooth sailing from here on out, but I think it does get easier or maybe you just get used to it.  Either way, you have found a way to endure the first year and that's great and yes, kids do help!  It doesn't matter if they are little ones or old, old ones (like mine) they are all a blessing.  Hugs to my fellow Oleander!

Shygirl:

Congratulations on reaching that one year 'anniversary'.  I can tell you from experience that two years will be even better!

Although we never quite seem to get to a 100% recovery, I'll take 85 or 90% and be grateful for that, as you are.

To better days ahead for all.  :)
