I haven't posted in a very long time, but for anyone who might be interested. I have a punctal plug in my affected eye. Last week the cornea specialist put me on a trial of Restasis. I must say it has helped a lot. I still need to use artificial tears, but not all day every day.

That's interesting because I just saw an Opthamologist yesterday. He said they usually only give Restasis to patients who have dry eye from an unknown cause. So I'm intrigued that he put you on it. I find that the drops don't work well for me so end up using the ointment throughout the day, which leaves my vision in that eye blurry. Maybe I should get a second opinion about Restasis.

great to see you posting again on the Forum; it's been a while ;D
Someone at the last ANA Symposium (August 2009 in Chicago) told me that her doctor recommended Restatis for her dry eye and it was working well for her too.
Glad it's worked for you.
Best,

I was just wondering about this the other day...the Houston Support Meeting is next weekend and it is supposed to be on Eye Care - I will TRY to go but I'm not sure what we will be doing with the girlies (it is right smack dab in the middle of the day Saturday). I will let you know if I go and what I find out about this!
