Does anyone have experience in Miami/Florida either with GK or surgery?

The ANA website lists 4 facilities in Florida. You'll have to go to their websites to find out what they offer. Others will comment soon.

One of the top doctors in Miami for AN is: Fred F. Telischi. He is the chair of Otolaryngology at UM Miller School of Medicine. He will work with his preferred brain surgeons. He did a webinar on the ANA site in 2015:

Yes, I saw him. Excellent Doctor. Him and Dr Morcos operate together. Both excellent. They recommend that I have surgery bc of my age, but I'm still undecided. Thank you!

I didn't go to Telischi but he was recommended to me by Dr. Jackler at Stanford. If I was going to have this surgery in South Florida, I would use Telischi. The only downside is that UM is NOT a major AN center. If cost can be managed, I would go to a hospital that does a higher volume of AN surgeries. I went to Hopkins (Dr. Lim) and couldnt' have been more pleased. (My brother lived in Maryland to this made recovery much easier to stay at his house).

Dr. Telischi cut my facial nerve, even after the tumor lifted 'easily' off the nerve. Had he left it alone I may not have the TOTAL RIGHT SIDED FACIAL PARALYSIS I have today. Stay away from him!
