I had acoustic neuroma surgery in 1990, age 24. Approx. 15 yrs ago I tried the Cross and I wasn't very impress with it at that time. A week ago I decided to go back to the ENT to see if there's anything new that might benefit me. Well, I am going to the ENT tomorrow to discuss the Transear and the CIC device. Any advice?

Look into a BAHA (bone-anchored hearing aid)

I've had mine for a little over a year now and love it.

Thank you. I will check into the BAHA.

Yes Check into the Baha I had the Transear and did not like it to weak but that was me Baha is stronger and more comfortible Trans ear goes Deep into the ear canal Baha does not go in the ear at all I had the cros aid ro did not like it either. ;D Good luck with the ENT. Baha you have to have surgery but it is a piece of cake my 15 yr old had it done today and I had it in April of this year. Ask your ENT for the Baha demo to try.

totally forgot your son was having the surgery today.
Hope all went well.
Pretty soon you'll have two BAHA wearers in the house ;D

For those of us w/ Divinos, will Cochlear give any kind of trade-in or credit if we want to upgrade to something newer???

Good question, Sam.
I wondered the same thing myself.
Mike seems to be a bit of a researcher - hopefully he'll know the answer and get back to us.
BTW, nice to "see" you,
