Title: Pre-op tests/appt. for Surgery
Post by: CS on August 25, 2014, 12:26:30 pm
Hi Everyone,

I'm scheduled for Retrosigmoid surgery in next month and only pre-op appt. I have is to meet with anesthesiologist.
Did you have any pre-op tests or appointments such as EKG test, X-ray, CT scan, angiography or another MRI etc.?

I had hearing, ABR, chest xray, blood test done the day before my surgery.  I also had pre op appointment with neurosurgeon, neurotologist, and internal medicine doctor.  I didn't have a MRI although my last one was only 3 weeks old so maybe it is so recent that they didn't need it.

Thanks jeninla & mot83-

I've had minor outpatient surgery in the past, but this will be my first major surgery so I was wondering what to expect.

I had blood work done and an EKG.  You should call your doctor's office and specifically ask if they plan any pro op testing.  You can say you have heard that others got it and that why you are asking.
