Title: Noren? Brigham & Women's?
Post by: ellenvig on August 07, 2006, 06:06:10 pm
Hi,

I'm trying to decide between single-dose Gamma Knife in Providence, RI with Georg Noren and fractionated LINAC at Brigham & Women's in Boston.

Does anyone have any experience with these places?  Specifically, how were you treated?  What were your impressions of the staff and physicians?  Did you have any side effects?  If so, how were they managed?  Were you given anything (Decadron?) automatically to prevent swelling or other complications?  Why did you make the decision to go with that place/doctor/protocol?  How was follow-up care managed?  Did you have to go there, or was long-distance ok?

Thanks!

Ellen

Noren is very well known and highly regarded
- I think he has been involved in Gamma knife/ANs for ten years
or more - he has written medical papers (and a book ?)
